Face Soap

Who it’s for:

Ideal for skin that prefers cleansing with a soap and seeks a “cleaner” feel, especially when there is a tendency toward oiliness or imperfections.

The formula:

Made using the traditional cold-process method with plant oils and botanical extracts, such as olive oil and coconut oil, along with calendula, St. John’s wort, mallow, nettle, and other herbs. It also contains honey and propolis, which give the formula its distinctive character, as well as selected essential oils for a subtle, botanical fragrance.

How to use:

Lather with a little water, apply to the face with gentle motions, and rinse thoroughly. Follow with a toning lotion and/or the moisturizer of your choice.

Note for very dry/sensitive skin:

If your skin is very dry or particularly sensitive, you may find this soap a bit “strong” as a cleanser. In that case, follow immediately with a richer moisturizing step (e.g., Mellifora’s Dry Oil on slightly damp skin), or alternatively choose the Cleansing Milk or the Liquid Soap for Sensitive Areas.
